Plot Summary

Sirius Black has escaped from the Wizard Prison of Azkaban and is suspected to be trying to kill Harry Potter who has returned to Hogwarts for his third year as a student.

Harry and friends find out more about Black and with the help of the Marauder's Map, find out more about the deaths of Haryr's Parents.

A time-travel adventure of sorts, Prisoner of Azkaban shows us the trials and tribulations of pre-pubescent life in a magical world in which not a great deal of magic really goes on.

Interesting Fact

This is the first of the Magical Harry Potter films to actually use a magician during its production. Paul Kieve worked as a consultant on Prisoner of Azkaban and taught several actors how to do the odd trick!
